Organizing Home Theater Cables

One day I sat back looking at my home theater and thought how great it would be if I could hide the unsightly, jungle of wires and cables I'd accumulated. Don't get me wrong, I'm the proud owner of both Cardas Golden Reference at www.cardas.com  and Monster M Silver Video cables at monstercable.com, which are some of the best cables on the planet, but from a visual standpoint, sometimes you can have too much of a good thing.

When you have a multitude of garden hose-size cables, nothing you can buy at your local Radio Shack will hold or hide a wad of cables the size of a tennis ball, but I was lucky enough to run across cableorganizer.com.

I spoke to Paul Holstein, Vice President of Cableorganizer.com and after a brief conversation; he was able to send me exactly what I needed to help me solve all of my cable hiding problems. The product that helped me the most was the Solid Wall Wire Duct, which is designed for straight wire runs where breakouts are not required and has a lid that snaps into place for easy access. It's available in many different sizes and colors and it allowed me to hide all of my audio and video cables along the baseboard without being noticed. It was one of the best accessories that I've ever added to my theater and the one my wife appreciates the most, even if part of me misses looking at my cables.
